Marie was the wife of Junius August Beger (1899-1990). They were married on August 8, 1922 and had three children: Rose Elise, Jacquelyn Ann "Jacquie" and Richard J. Beger. Marie was the daughter of Bernard Bocke and Emma (Hacker) Bocke.

A resident of Springfield since 1943, Mrs. Beger was born in Quincy, the daughter of Bernard and Emma Hacker Bocke. She married Junius A. Beger in 1922 and they celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary in August.
Surviving are her husband, Junius A.; two daughters, Mrs. Elise Hines of Springfield and Mrs. James (Jacquie) Cadagin of Pekin; one son, Richard Beger of Springfield; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Harry Morris of Newport News, Va., Mrs. Erwin Ristenpart of Quincy, Sister Mary Annette of Springfield, Sister Mary Elise of Chicago Heights, two brothers, Joseph Bocke and Al Bocke, both of Quincy; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Church with the Rev. Hugh Cassidy officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Staab Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements."
