Ober, married Milton's sister, Carrie H. Collins. Milton died young and is buried in Grove Cem., Wells County. He shares a headstone with his sister Jessie Hower.

Milton died in an automobile accident on Pendleton Pike near Indianapolis, Indiana, when he was thrown from his automobile. Cousin, Charles Bacon Jackson was appointed administrator of his estate which was valued at 2,400 dollars. He worked in Real Estate for the Fletcher Savings & Trust Company
