OBITUARY

Nelson T. Collins, 87, 3231 North - 725 East, Marion, Indiana, died at 06:30 a.m. Thursday in his home after a four -year illness.

Nelson Todd was the son of Luther Basil Collins and Emily Caroline Lee. He was born in Wells County, Indiana on March 14, 1891. Siblings are: Susan (William Bader), Charles (Estella Isles), Alexander (Minnie Shadle), Milton (Hazel Ober), Carrie (William Ober), Margaret (Homer Ogle), Jessie (Earl Hower.

Nelson T. was married to 1st wife was Edith Flossie Felt who died in 1920 they had Mildred (1915-living), Nelson K. (1917-1979) and Richard R.(1919-1977).

Mr. Collins was a lifetime resident of the Van Buren area. He was a member of the Van Buren United Methodist Church and was retired from Allied Products, Marion.

Survivors include his wife, Leah; five sons, Nelson K., Frank, Marvin, and Michael, all of Marion, and Bennie, Fairmount; four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Israel, Muncie, Mrs. Elizabeth Creech, Peru, and Mrs. Emily Cole and Mrs. Corrine Collins; both of Marion; 25 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Ferguson Funeral Home, 201 West Main Street, Van Buren, Indiana, with the Rev. John Chambers in charge. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Wells County.

Friends may call after 8 p.m. today and after 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
