Born in about 1849 (based upon Indian census rolls). Tribal affiliation: Chetco. Their tribal lands encompassed the Chetco River and other coastal rivers in southwest Oregon near the California border.
He was the son of Kitty and a Chetco man (unknown).
After the Rogue River Wars in 1855-56, Chetco people were removed by the US government to the Siletz Indian Reservation and became part of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians.
He married Ella Jim, who was of the Euchre (Tututni) people who were also removed from southwestern Oregon to Siletz after the Rogue River wars. The couple had at least eight children between 1883 and 1906, all probably born at Siletz.
He appears in the 1892, 1893, and 1910 Siletz Agency Indian rolls and in the 1900 and 1910 US Census at Siletz, Lincoln County, Oregon. Ella and their children appear in those US Censuses as well as Siletz Agency Indian Census rolls. They are all listed as Rogue River Indians (full blood).
His place of death is not known, but is possibly Lincoln County, which was his known address in the 1910 US Census.
