Death of Mrs. Rhoda Edmondson

After an illness of several weeks of paralysis, Mrs. Rhoda Edmondson died at seven o'clock Sunday evening at her home on west Sixth Street, Bloomington. The deceased was 66 years old. She was born in Washington County near Salem.

When a child, she came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Acuff, to locate in Richland township near Ellettsville. She was married to Hubbard M. Edmondson in 1859, who died in 1887. The deceased leaves the following children: John E., Miss Emma, William, and Charles Edmondson. She was a faithful member of the Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held at the residence Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. Rev. Thomas R. White read the scriptures and offered prayer. Dr. Bryan, president of Indiana University, gave the funeral address. The remains were brought to Ellettsville for burial. A large number of Ellettsville friends were at the cemetery to pay a last tribute to their old friend.
