Rosene Horwitz Bloom, 81, passed away September 3rd, 2009. She was preceded in death by Harry Bloom, her husband of almost 50 years. A beloved mother and grandmother she is survived by her 3 children, daughter Toba Kornberg (Leslie) of Memphis, son Morris Bloom (Marcia) of Arlington, VA, and daughter Jo Ann Tallman (Philip) of Los Angeles, CA, her 6 grandchildren; Brett, Katie Kornberg; Isaac Bloom, Ellie Larison; Matthew, Sally Tallman. She was born in Milwaukee, and attended the University of Wisconsin. She was a lifelong member of Hadassah, and Baron Hirsch Congregation. An active member of the community, she was one of the original members of the Ladies of Saint Jude. She also worked to re-settle senior Russian immigrants. She was a friend to many, and loved by all. An avid card player, she loved a good poker game, and was known as Ms. Rosey at the tables in Tunica. Services were held Friday, September 4th at Baron Hirsch Cemetery.
