HARRY I. BLOOM, 80, of Memphis, retired owner of Harry Bloom Construction Co., died of heart failure Monday at Baptist Memorial Hospital East. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Sam Abraham Chapel with burial in Baron Hirsch Cemetery. Canale Funeral Directors has charge. He was a member of Baron Hirsch Synagogue. Mr. Bloom, the husband of Rosene Horwitz Bloom, also leaves two daughters, Toba B. Kornberg of Germantown and Jo Ann B. Tallman of Agoura, Calif.; a son, Morris Bloom of Arlington, Va., and five grandchildren. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, any memorials be sent to a charity of the donor's choice or the Baron Hirsch Synagogue. (Published in The Commercial Appeal 2/16/2000)
