"T" middle initial most likely is for Thompson. Most likely born in Ireland and immigrated by ship from Liverpool, England to New Orleans, LA., USA and then up the Mississippi River to Mercer Co. Illinois. Date may have been 1847 and ship may have been the Isaac Newton, but not proved yet by me.
This stone has Alice Lucas Lipton Johnston and her husband Robert T. (probably Thompson) Johnston on one side, and on the same large, heavy stone; but on the other side of it, it has Johnston Lipton and his wife Isabel or Isabella Lipton. Johnston Lipton and Isabella were my 3x grandparents and Alice Lucas Lipton Johnston and Robert T. Johnston were my 2x grandparents.
