Iola Pearline Larson, daughter of Einar Eastvedt and Albertine Hammer Eastvedt,
was born on October 17, 1900, at Norway, and died on March 3, 2005, at the
Belleville Health Care Center at the age of 104 years.
She grew up and attended the public schools of Norway, graduating from Norway
High School. She worked at the Norway State Bank for four years. On
October 5, 1921, she was united in marriage to Martin Larson and to this union
four children were born. The couple farmed in the Norway and Scandia area.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Our Savior's Lutheran Church
where she was both baptized and confirmed She was also a member of The
Order of the Eastern Star of Scandia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: daughters, Ila Marie and
Pauline, grandsons. Bill Barleen and Craig Larson; and sister , Laura
Ainsworth.
She is survived by two sons, Glenn Larson of Scandia, and Ralph Larson of
Salina; 17 grandchildren; 47 great- grandchildren, and 31 great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Monday, March 7, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Norway,
conducted by Pastor Shelby Bailey. Interment was in Norway Cemetery.
