Leta Marie Osburn, 85, died Monday, March 7, 1994, in the Ozark Riverview Manor Nursing Home following a long illness. She was born Dec. 30, 1908, in Union Chapel, the daughter of Charlie and Anna Campbell Kaufman. She was united in marriage to Virgil Osburn in Bruner, Feb. 3, 1930, having been married 64 years. She was a faithful and active member of the Sparta Baptist Church, the Sparta Garden Club and the Readmore Club. She was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one infant son, Jimmy. She is survived by her husband, Virgil, Sparta; one son, Billy, and his wife, Rhonda; one granddaughter, Amanda; and one grandson, Jason, all of Ozark. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, in Harris, Ozark, with the Revs. Carl Thompson and Gary Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Sparta Cemetery.
