D'ERVIN HOWER, 82, died at his home, 2136 Dorchester , on Jan. 24 after a long illness.
He was born in Decatur , Ind. , on Nov. 30,. 1869 and on Nov. 28, 1900, married Harriet Gilson in Rushville , Ind.
Mr. and Mrs. Hower came to Birmingham about two years ago from Muskegon , where he had operated a ladies apparel business for 34 years.
Besides his widow, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Bert E. Eubele (sic), Jr., Bloomfield Hills; a son, Maxwell Hower, Birmingham; three sisters, Mrs. D. J. Harkless, Ft. Wayne; Mrs. John T. Meyers, Decatur and Mrs. Dan Beery, Fullerton, Calif.; a brother, the Rev. D'Ira Hower, Council Bluffs, Iowa.
The body was taken from the Manley Bailey funeral home to Decatur , where services and burial were Saturday morning.
