Maygar Kenneth Hepburn, was my Mom's first cousin. I always thought it so strange that his given name was Maygar and our last name was Magyar. LOL He simplified matters by always going by Kenneth or Ken.

Ken was the second child of Emlyn Garfield Hepburn and his wife, Sarah Ethel Montgomery, my granduncle and grandaunt. He was born on 07 Aug 1909 in the Hepburn home on Hawthorn Hill south of Shadyside. He attended grade school at Mt. Liberty and Mt. Vernon. In Kenneth's eighth grade year he attended Center Glen School on Cash Ridge. From there he went on to Shadyside High School and graduated in 1927.

On 29 May 1937 he and Charlotte Kessiah Sims were married. Charlotte was working at the time as an elementary school teacher.

On 05 April 1938 their first and only child was stillborn. She was named Patricia Louise Hepburn.
