Final Rites Saturday for Annette Libby, 86.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 11, at the Friends church in Arnolds Park for Annette Libby, 86, who died July 9 at Dickisnon [sic, Dickinson] County Memorial Hospital from complications resulting from a broken hip.

Miss Libby was born Feb. 22, 1873 at Hopkinton, Del.[sic, Delaware County, Iowa] the youngest of eight children born to Samuel and Angeline Riley Libby. She spent her early life as a teacher and for the past 20 years had made her home with brothers and sisters in Arnolds Park. Burial was in the Okoboji cemetery in Arnolds Park and the Rev. Paul Baiotto officiated.

Funeral services for Annette Libby were held Saturday, July 11, at the Friends Church in Arnolds Park. Miss Libby died July 9 at the Dickinson County Home with complications from a broken hip.

Annette Libby was the youngest of eight children born to Samuel A. and Angeline Riley Libby. She was born at Hopkinton, Delaware County, Iowa, Feb. 22, 1873. She came to Cherokee County when about 5 years old with her parents. She was a teacher in the schools during her early life. Miss Libby, with a sister and brother, settled on their place just east of Arnolds Park where she had resided the last twenty years of her life.

Left to mourn her passing are one brother, Eugene of Portland, Oregon, three nieces, one of whom, Mrs. Bessie Parks, cared for Annette during her lingering ills.

Rev. Paul Baiotto officiated at the services with the Leyson Funeral home in charge. Mrs. Cameron Smith sang "No Night There" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" with Mrs. Paul Baiotto at the organ. Serving as pall bearers were Arthur Wiese, Maynard Smith, Harvey Graves, Harold Walker, Wheeler Hinshaw and Ben Decker. Mrs. Emma Hedrick and Mabel Henderson cared for the floral tributes. Interment was in the Okoboji cemetery.
