Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7 at First Baptist Church of Florien with interment following at Florien Cemetery. The Rev. Bobby Franklin and the Rev. Bill Craft, Jr. officiated.
Survivors include his widow, Maudie Canterbury of Florien; one sister, Mary A. Cook of Brenham; one son, William C. Craft, Sr. of Florien; one daughter, Muriel Lucius of Florien; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a host of friends.
Mr. Canterbury was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Nina Canterbury; one son, Henry Eugene Craft; and one brother, Charles Canterbury.
Pallbearers were Chris Craft, Henry Lee Davis, Matthew Lucius, Joe Salter, Gary Thompson and Andy Tramel.
