Obituary.
Died on Friday night at 12 o'clock at her home eight mils east of town, Mrs. jane Wilson after an illness of 15 days. Mrs. Jane Wilson is the daughter of Robert Hicks, who represented Douglas County in "61," and who died at Jefferson City February 22 1862. Mrs. Wilson was born in Indiana May 6, 1831. Her father moved to this county when she was about eight years old. She was married to C.R. Wilson in 1852. She professed religion in 1861 and has lived a devoted christian ever since. She often spoke of the promise of the faithful, and during her illness she would often say she would like to get well if it was Gods will, and if not his will be done.
She has been an obedient daughter, affectionate wife, and loving mother. She leaves eight children, 29 grandchildren and many friends to mourn her departure. The remains wee laid to rest in the Vera Cruz cemetery Monday at 12 o'clock. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Vincon.
The family of the deceased extend their sincere thanks to the people of Larrissa for their kindness shown them during her illness.
