William D Cleary, Jr., a welder, died of cancer at Charity Hospital, New Orleans. He was 55. He was born in New Orleans, the son of William D. Cleary, Sr. and Lorina Lagman Cleary. He lived in Poydras.

He attented east Jefferson High School and Delgado Community College.

He was a member of the Boilermakers Local 36. He was a Navy veteran.

He is surviced by his wife Evelyn A. Cleary; four daughters, Cynthia Pigrinet, Jeanne Gervals, Patrice Loftin and Christ Cleary; a stepson, Shane M. Pigrinet; a stepdaughter Beatrice Bailey. Eight sisters; Patricia Swanson, Wanda Pieffer, Christine Natel, Barbara Duprey, Linda, Judy, Darlene, and Angel Cleary. Two brothers; Glenn and Randy Cleary. And 12 grandchildren.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, sister Diane Cleary Albarado, and brother George Cleary.
