Ada Deloris Crissman, 75, of Camden, Del., was taken by the hand by Jesus who took her home Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Kent General Hospital, after a long illness.

She was born Sept. 14, 1937, in Kittanning, a daughter of the late Sammule Charles Harmon and Hazel (Lemmon) Harmon.

She worked in the restaurant business. Our mother worked hard all her life and raised seven beautiful children.

Survivors include her children, Charles (Wendy) Crissman, of Delaware, Jodie (Mike) Casey, of Delaware, Timothy (Patti) Crissman, of Delaware, Joseph (Maria) Crissman, of Delaware, Linda (Thomas) Swanz, M.D., of New York, Brenda (Vincent) Spada, of New York, and Robert (Annette) Crissman, of Delaware; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Gertrude Yount, of Pennsylvania, and Joann (Richard) Chauvanx, of North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her childhood sweetheart whom she married to for 56 years, Charles F. Crissman Sr.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at the SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME in Kittanning. Services at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, in the Sherrett United Methodist Church, 640 Sherrett Road, Cowansville, PA 16218, with additional visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the services at 11 a.m. at the church. The Rev. Sherry Mosely will officiate. Interment in Crissman Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ada's honor to the Sherrett United Methodist Church.
