She came to Nebraska in 1899 and was married June 24, 1903 to William Mapes at McCook. He preceded her in death in 1944. She had made her home with her son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Mapes, since that time.
Survivors include her children, Elmer, McCook, Mrs. Mary Connrey, Wellsboro, Pa., Ernest, Warminster, Pa/. Mrs. Edna Royer, Forked River, N.J.; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; three half-brothers, Tom Bales, Colorado Springs, Clarence and Earl Bales, McCook, and two half-sisters, Mrs. Florence Mitchem and Mrs. Myrtle Stone, both of McCook.
Funeral services will be at 2pm, Saturday at the Herrmann Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard S. Deems officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
