Herschel moved to Cloud County from Nebraska in 1976. He worked as an electrician for the Burlington Northern Railroad. Survivors include a son,Leroy; four daughters, Jeanette Whitehead,Martha Richardson,Pamela Owen,and Sharon K. Veleka; two brothers, Carl and Harold; nine sisters,Dorothy Crist,Hazel Chaput,Grace Patenaude,Gladys Murry,Reva Chaput,Clara Stringham,LaDonna Peterson,Phylis Morginson, and JoAnn Adair. The Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Phelps Funeral Home, Miltonvale, the Rev. Ernest Foster officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Union Cemetery at Miltonvale. Visitation is at the funeral home,217 W. First, Miltonvale,67466.
