Mrs. Sarah Eliza Cash, 72, died at 12:20 a.m. today at her home in Stuarts Draft.
She was born March 21, 1880, in Nelson County, daughter of the late Landon and Sarah Jane Fitzgerald. She was the widow of Daniel Gleason Cash and was a member of Calvary Methodist Church.
Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Lottie Chandler, Mrs. Leslie Maddox, Mrs. Minnie Patterson, and Mrs. Charles Arnold, Thomas, Greenville; Mrs. Mamie Hite, Staunton, and Mrs. W. O. McAlister, Fishersville.
Also surviving are three sons, Hollis H. Cash and Lonnie M. Cash, both of Route 1, Waynesboro and Wilbert Cash, Waynesboro; one sister, Mrs. Emma L. Massie, Oak Hill, W. Va.; four brothers, John Fitzgerald, Norfolk; O. D. and R. D. Fitzgerald, both of Waynesboro; and Arthur Fitzgerald, Stuarts Draft; 36 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home until it is placed in Calvary United Methodist Church at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday where service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Service will be conducted by the Rev. R. C. Maxwell, assisted by the Rev. Wrightson S. Tongue. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Warren Mace, Douglas Blackwell, Herbert Perl, Grady Armentrout, Frank Hays and Ray Kimbal.
Honorary bearers will be grandsons and nephews.
