Services for Gladus (Gus) Squire, 95, Blue Earth, were held Friday at St. Luke's Lutheran Home, Blue Earth, with burial in Center Creek Cemetery in Martin County.
Mr. Squire died Wednesday, June 15, 1988, at St. Luke's Home. Visitation was held at St. Luke's, with Forsman-Patton Funderal Home, Blue Earth, in charge of arrangments.
Gladus Uhlman Squire was born Oct. 5, 1892, in Ebson, KS. He married Laura Mallory, June 30, 1914.They moved to Burt, IA, where he farmed until 1930. They moved to Granada and established a trucking business. He retired in 1958. They both became residents of St. Luke's in 1982.
Survivors include his sons, Lowell, Lake Crystal, MN, Darrell and Roger, both of Washington state; Richard, Omaha, NE; daughters Doris Barnes and Mrs. Lloyd (Geneva) Larson, both of Blue Earth, Opal Quiggle, North Mankato, and Jean Hunter, Independence, IA; 22 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
