MANITOWOC, Wis. - C. Lowell Squire, age 90, of 1235 South 25th St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday afternoon, October 29, 2008, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.

He was born on October 16, 1918, in Burt, Iowa, son of the late Gladus and Laura (Mallory) Squire. Lowell served with the United States Navy during WWII as a SeaBee in the South Pacific. On April 14, 1940, he married the former Marjorie Rudy in Granada, Minn. She preceded him in death on March 13, 2006. Lowell was self-employed as a business man until his retirement. He was a member of the VFW Otto Oas Post #659.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Linda and Buzz Brown, Manitowoc; one son: Marland Squire, Texas; three grandchildren: Kellen Squire, Virginia, Chad (Kathleen) Brown, Virginia, Cory (Anila) Brown, South Dakota; seven great-grandchildren: Brooklyn Squire, Jake, Madalyn, Abigail, Malori, Maddax, and Maclaran Brown; one sister: Opal Quiggle, Minn.; one brother and sister-in-law: Darrell and Naomi Squire, Wash. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

Cremation has occurred and Lowell will be laid to rest at a later date.
