Mrs. Marguerite Sullivan Shawhan, 86, died Wednesday, August 22 [1979] at 3:30 p.m. at Shelby Manor Nursing Home. A Shelby County native, she was the daughter of Cornelius J. & Mayme Dubourg Sullivan. Mrs. Shawhan was a member of the Shelbyville Church of the Annunciation where she was also a member of the St. Ann Altar Society. She worked as a bookkeeper for 40 years at Hall & Davis where she retired in the early 1960’s. Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Hill, Mrs. Cornelia Roberts and Miss Augusta Sullivan, all of Shelbyville and Mrs. Mary Florence Lindsay of Louisville; and three nieces, Connie LaBelle, Mary J. Kinsman and Blake Hill. The funeral was Saturday at the church with Father Chester B. Bowling officiating. Interment was in Grove Hill. Shannon Funeral Home was in charge.
