On February 22, 1942 she was united in marriage to Marvin Albert Ebmeier and to this union two daughters were born: Beverly and Janet. The family made their home on the farm southwest of Bertrand, where Ethel resided until her death. Ethel was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church for many years.
Ethel enjoyed her life as a farm wife and homemaker. She filled her time by helping her husband, children and grandchildren. She made numerous quilts and many of her girls' clothes. She enjoyed embroidery, crafts and loved sending cards to her family and friends for all occasions.
She leaves to mourn her passing her daughters: Beverly Vacha of Gibbon, Nebraska and Janet Renken and her husband, Raymond of Bertrand; grandchildren: Brenda Williams and her husband, Corey of Papillion, Nebraska, Christie Anderson and her husband, Brandy of Cambridge, Nebraska and Ron Renken and his wife, Barb of Holdrege; five great-grandsons: Dalton and Jordan Williams and Cody, Casey and Colten Renken; one step-great grandson, Zack; two sisters: Esther Hall of Bertrand and Fern Wells of Cozad, Nebraska; one brother, Delmer Brand and his wife, Jean of Bertrand; four sisters-in-law: Eula Brand of Columbia, South Carolina, Carmen Brand of Ogallala, Nebraska, Dorothea Kampfe of Gothenburg, Nebraska and Vida Forsberg and her husband, Roger of Hastings; brothers-in-law: Roger Ebmeier and his wife, Shirley and Lloyd Ebmeier all of Bertrand and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including special friends, Raymond and Bertha Meyer of Bertrand.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin, her parents, three brothers: Richard in infancy, Roy Brand and Leon Brand; and son-in-law, Don Vacha; three brothers-in-law: Gus Hall, John Wells and Richard Ebmeier.
