John Bertram Weirich

Thayer - John Bertram Weirich, 64, Galesburg, died at 12:48 p.m. yesterday at Mercy hospital in Parsons. Death followed an illness of several months.

He was born March 17, 1885 at White City, and was married there to Lena Lemon on Dec. 28, 1906. The family first moved to Galesburg in 1922 and he later farmed north of that community. He was a member of the Presbyterian church at White City.

He was the father of eight children, one, Raymond, dying in infancy. Survivors include Mrs. Weirich, three sons, Philip of Bush City, Glen of Parsons and Duane of Galesburg; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Shaffer of Erie, Mrs. Eunice Hizey of Galesburg and Mrs. Grace Bollinger and Mrs. Maxine Bolinger of Parsons; one brother, Frank Eads, Colorado; one sister, Mrs. Mary Walker of Fresno, Cali. and 17 grandchildren.

The Reverend Walker of Galesburg, assisted by the Rev. Robert Alexander of Arma, will conduct the funeral services at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Galesburg Methodist church. Burial will be in Galesburg cemetery.
