Maxine W. Bolinger passed away Nov. 9, 1976, at a Parsons hospital. She was the wife of Fred H. Bolinger who survives at the home. She was a native of the area and had lived in Parsons. since her marriage Feb. 7, 1942. She was born on Sept. 17, 1923, in Ladore Township in Neosho County, a daughter of John Bertram Weirich and Lena F. Lemon Weirich, and attended Galesburg High School. She was a manager of Abshier Real Estate and Insurance. She was a member of the Washington Avenue United Methodist Church, the Tri-County Insurance Women's Assn., the United Methodist Women and the Kum Dubble Sunday school class.
Surviving in addition to her husband are one son, David Duane Bolinger; four daughters: Karen Sue Bolinger, Mrs. Jack (Nancy L.) Donahue, Mrs. Charles F. (Margaret Ann) Henderson II, and Mrs. Robert A. (Doris Kay Patneau; and three children. Three brothers, Glen H. Weirich, Philip I. Weirich, and Duane Weirich, three sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Shaffer, Mrs. Roy Hizey (Eunice) and Mrs. Melvin Bolinger. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

From 1940 Galesburgian senior class newspaper: Maxine Weirich's happy smile makes the school room brighter. Her name has often been on the high honor roll during her four years in G.H.S. She was a member of the girls' glee club and sang in the chorus of operettas of '37 and '38. She is secretary-treasurer of the senior class, and president of the Peppy Pals, a pep organization of which she has been a member all four years. Maxine was a member of the spelling team that won first place in the Neosho County Contest in '39 and is a member of the team in '40. She took part in several school plays.
