Izetta was the daughter of Seth Griffith & Susan (Cork) Hyland & she grew up in & around the Union County, OH, village of Jerome. On June 29, 1884, Izetta was married to Joseph Anderson Norris Jr. in Union County. The couple set up residence on a family farm in Jerome Township & can be found living there at the time of the 1900 Federal Census. Izetta & Joseph reportedly parented six children between the years of 1886 & 1904: Edith I. Norris, Violet Norris, Theadore J. Norris (also buried at Jerome Township Cemetery), Mary Norris, Frank Norris, & Clara May Norris (also buried at Jerome Township Cemetery). Izetta was a resident of the Sun Ridge Rest Home in Columbus, OH, at the time of her death.
