ROANOKE, AL -- Funeral services for Seth Juel Brown, 77, of Roanoke were Friday, January 28, 1994, at 3:30 p.m. from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel, with Rev Gary Baugh officiating. Burial was at Randolph Memory Gardens.
Mr. Bowen died Thursday, January 27, 1994 at Traylor Nursing Home in Roanoke.
A resident of the Mt. Zion community for 30 years, Mr. Bowen was born February 15, 1916, in Randolph County, son of Elijah Jackson and Lue Butler Bowen. He had worked as a salesman and was a member of the Moose Club.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruby Robertson Bowen of Roanoke; two daughters, Mrs. Linda Brady of Roanoke and Mrs. Susan Davis of Moultrie, GA; two sons, Roger Bowen of LaGrange, GA and Don Bowen of Dalton, GA; two granddaughters, Stephanie Bowen and Chrystal Davis; two sisters, Mrs. Brasley Huddleston and Miss Hazel Bowen, both of Roanoke; and a brother, Junior Bowen of Manchester, GA.
Pallbearers were Ernie Bowen, Joel Bowen, Jerome Bowen, Mike Dunn, J. R. Fincher and Dick Worrell.
The family will accept contributions to the American Lung Association.
