Daughter of Nathaniel and Elizabeth Johnson Price Childs; birth date listed as October 31, 1872, in Nobles County, Minnesota birth records; October 1872 in 1900 Census; and October 31, 1875, on Michigan Death Certificate; married 1st John Ervin Barker June 1, 1892, Wayne, Nebraska, and divorced December 4, 1904, Dixon County, Nebraska. The family is listed in Barker Genealogy, by Elizabeth Frye Barker (New York: Frye Publishing Co., 1927), page 374. She subsequently married Otto Peters September 11, 1906, at Spokane, Washington. Her death certificate incorrectly states her date of birth was October 31, 1875, and her gravestone also states 1875.

Matrimony
Barker-Childes. At the residence of the bride's parents, Wednesday evening, June 1, 1892, John E. Barker and Miss Millie Childes, Rev. H. C. Myers officiating. The bride is one of Wayne's estimable young ladies who has won a host of friends in the city, while the groom, a member of the firm of Larson & Barker, is well and favorably known as an enterprising young man of excellent qualities. The happy couple boarded the morning train for Sioux City and other points and will be absent for a week or ten days.
The Herald extends congratulations. Source: Article from local newspaper, presumably the Wayne (Nebraska) Herald Note by Eric M. Larson: Childs is misspelled Childes; the Larson identified in the article is not related to Peter Alfred Larson or Otto Martin Larson.
