Andrea V. Boss Thorn, youngest child of hotel keeper Henry Harrison Boss and Ardella C. Betsinger Boss, was the wife of John Calvin Thorn (1873-1941) of South Carolina. Andrea and John were married 21 June 1897 in Polk County, Florida.

Andrea died after the birth of her twin daughters, Andrea Vaughn and Agnes Lucille Thorn, on 30 May 1900. Her parents and children are enumerated on the 1900 Federal Census on 7 Jun 1900. John left their daughters and two year old son, Robert Thorn, in the care of her parents who were later buried near her.

The twins, Andrea and Agnes, died within weeks of their young mother. Their shared marker stands between Andrea and her mother, Ardella.
