My Grand Aunt

Amelia Dingman, age 60, passed away in Utica. She was born in Sprakers, Montgomery Co., New York; daughter of Stewart Dingman and Martha Hart Dingman.

Amelia was sister to my grandfather, Morgan Dingman. She never married.

AMELIA DINGMAN,DEAD; AGED 60
CANAJOHARIE - Miss Amelia Dingman, 60, died Saturday morning in a Utica hospital followlng a long illness.

She was born in Sprakers, September 17, 1886, a daughter of Stewart and Martha Hart Dingman. She was a member of the Sprakers Reform church.

The survivors are three sisters Mrs. John Vosburgh, Utica; Mrs. Emma Bishop, Cobleskill, and Mrs. John Foulknor, Sprakers; three brothers, Morgan Dingman, Nelliston, Edward Dingman, Palatine Bridge, and Stewart Dingman, Salt Springville, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 from the Houghtaling funeral home. The Rev. Harry Ellason, pastor of the Sprakers Reform church, will officiate. The body will be placed in the vault of the Canajoharie Falls cemetery to await burial there in the spring.
