Obituary
CANAJOHARIE — Mrs. Martha Mead, former resident of this village, the widow of Eugene Mead died on Thursday at the home of her brother, George Dingman in the Town of Root after an illness of six months. The deceased was 45 years of age and was born in Sutphens Hollow in the Town of Root, a daughter of Stewart and Martha Hart Dingman.
Surviving are one son, Fred; two daughters, Mary and Anna; five brothers, George, Edward, Morgan, Stewart and Charles Dingman all of this vicinity and four sisters, Mrs. Emma Bishop, Mrs. Catherine Faulkner and Amelia and Lily Dingman.
Funeral will be held Saturday at the Houghtaling Funeral Parlors at 2 and interment in Canajoharie Falls cemetery. Rev. Samuel W. Spear, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church is the officiating minister.
