DUNLAP -- Robert E. Campbell, 90, of 14719 Mendenhall Road died at 1 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999, at his home.

Born Sept. 17, 1908, in rural Alta to Fred C. and Ida May Harker Campbell, he married Vera Carver Campbell Aug. 20, 1937, in Alta. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Murray of rural Dunlap and Robert Jr. of Dunlap; one daughter, Mrs. Don (Rebecca) May of Princeton; two sisters, Marian Linder of Peoria and Mrs. Walter (Ethel) Smith of Dunlap; two grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were one infant son, one sister and two brothers.

He farmed for 58 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Princeville and also a charter member of the Historical Association of Princeville.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home in Princeville. The Rev. Harry Losey will officiate. Burial will be 1 1/2 hours before services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Dunlap Rescue Squad or to the Akron/Princeville Ambulance.
