Meryl E. Bledsoe Kennedy, 76, of Fleming, died Thursday, March 7, in Fleming. Visitation will be noon until 6 p.m. Sunday, March 11, at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 11, at the Fleming Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Peacock officiating. Burial will be at the Fleming cemetery.
Mrs. Kennedy was born June 21, 1925 in Sterling to Leonard A. and Malinda E.(Dreier) Hagemeier. She married Austin Bledsoe in Fleming. He died in 1984. On July 3, 1988, she married Rodney Kennedy in Fleming.
She belonged to the Fleming Methodist Church.
She is survived by husband Rod Kennedy of Fleming; three sons, Gary Bledsoe of Fleming, Jim Bledsoe and wife Carol of Mead, and Dick Bledsoe of Austin, Texas; six sisters, Ethel Mae Plog of Fleming, June Decker of Loveland, Grace Warden of Englewood, Marilyn Quinn of Evergreen, Joyce Brehm of San Diego and Vonnie Boyer of San Diego; and five grandchildren, Tom Bledsoe, Jeff Bledsoe, Matt Hiadik, Jodi Bledsoe and Jennifer Friehe.
Memorials can be made to the Hospice of the Plains, 1404 S. Third Ave., Sterling, Co., 80751.
