The daughter of John Newton Davis and Nancy Holbert, she married James Taylor in Benton Co. MO. when she was 16. To this union was born three children. In 1892 this marriage ending in divorce she married Clark Bennis Butler in 1892. She had one daughter by Mr. Butler. In the June 1900 term of the Cedar County, MO. court she filed for divorce and, married Alexander Piper Earhart in 1902 and they moved to Washington State. This marriage also ending in divorce. She passed away at her home on Seward Park Ave. in Seattle of Tuberculosis and Pneumonia. (In addition to Lola and Ellis she had another daughter named Etta Jane, born Jan. 1890. Details of her death/burial unknown at this time)
