Ellis Taylor, 72, of Route 1, died at a local hospital Monday morning. Taylor was born December 19, 1886, in Warsaw, MO. He had worked 46 years in this area on the ranch known as the Baker-Langdon Orchard and latter at the Walla Walla Canning Co. asparagus farm. He was an ardent hunter and sportsman. He was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 287. Survivors are; his wife, Ella Taylor, at home; a daughter, Mrs. W.F. (Mildred) Sporleder of Walla Walla; a son, William A. Taylor of Isfahan, Iran; four grandchildren; and several stepchildren.
