Mrs. Mary B. Phillips, age 90 of Benton, KY, passed away Friday, September 6, 2013, at Lake Way Nursing & Rehabilitation in Benton, KY. Born Tuesday, July 17, 1923 in Florence, AL, she was a homemaker and was a member of the Benton Church of Christ, Benton, KY.
She is survived by three sons, Curt Phillips, wife Faye of Benton, KY, Dr. Bill Phillips, wife Julie of Tullahoma, TN and Ed Phillips, wife Patricia of Huntsville, AL, one brother, Burnam Broadfoot of Chattanooga, TN and one sister, Martha Jones of Chattanooga, TN., grandchildren; Mary DeBold of Versailles, KY., Joel Phillips of Tullahoma, TN., Marshall Phillips of Tullahoma, TN., Will Phillips of Lexington, KY., Anne Phillips of Collierville, TN., John Haynie of Madisonville, KY., Gabriela Brook Phillips; and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Brooks Phillips her parents, Hollis Lee Broadfoot and Bertha (Perkins) Broadfoot, by brothers, Bill Broadfoot and John Broadfoot.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY. Mark Ray will officiate. Interment will follow in the Benton Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
