Amy Mildred Beadle, eldest daughter of David and Mary M. Beadle, was born in Farrington, Ontario County, New York, August 6, 1831, died October 19, 1908, aged 77 years, 2 months, 13 days. Her parents were Quakers and as such she was reared and clung to that faith. She came with them to Paulding county, Ohio, and was married August 17, 1856 to Samuel Walker, deceased.

Six children, twenty-five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, with a host of friends survive her. The children are Alva Lyman Walker of Defiance, O., Edgar Norman Walker of Chicago, Ill., Mary Margaret Parker of Scipio, Ind., Ella Marie Bowers of Chicago, Ill., Lillian Lucinda Allen and Amy Lois Reams, both of Scipio, Ind. Two sons preceded her to the spirit world. Two brothers and one sister still survive her, David S. Beadle of Hennessy, Okla., Ezra Dan Beadle of Toledo, O., and Mary Elizabeth Cbbs, of Rome City, Ind.

Funeral was held at Scipio M.E. church October 22, 1908 conducted by Rev. Polhemus of Harlan, Ind. Interment in Scipio by C.W. Miller of Hicksville.
