Samuel Walker, son of Samuel and Margaret Walker, was born May 15, 1835, in Summit county, Ohio, and died February 20, 1905. He came with his parents to Allen county, Indiana, in September, 1849, and was married to Amy Millard Beadle, August 17, 1856, in Paulding county, Ohio. He enlisted in the One Hundred and Forty-second regiment Indiana volunteer infantry in October, 1864, and was honorably discharged at the close of the war. His aged wife, six children and twenty-six grandchildren survive him.The children are Alvin Lyman Walker, Robinson, Ill.; Edgar Norman Walker, Chicago; Mary Margaret Parker, Scipio; Ella Marie Bowers, Chicago; Lillian Lucinda Allen, Scipio; Amy Lois Reams, Scipio. Also surviving him are three brothers and three sisters. Two sons preceded the father to the spirit world. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. W. Erick, of Spencerville; interment in Scipio Cemetery.
