She married Nathan Paul Schleicher on April 2, 1935 in Angola, Indiana and together they had five daughters, Gloria Ann, Garnette Udeen, Sally Eileen, Jane Elizabeth, and Vicky Lynn (1953 - 1999) Schleicher.
She died on January 23, 1983 in Lansing, Michigan at the age of 67.
