Dorothy Sharp, 88, of Montgomery, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2007 in Conroe, Texas.
She was born on July 24, 1919 in Houston County, Texas.
Dorothy was a beloved Mother and Grandmother and a beloved day care teacher in Montgomery for many years. She was a Lifetime Board of Director for the Sam Houston Trail Ride Association as well as being their secretary and treasurer for a number of years. Most will remember her as a "Mule Skinner". She made the trail from Montgomery to Houston driving her team of mules for more than 40 years.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Wert Sharp, Sr., and daughter, Dorothy Gale Shastid.
She is survived by her daughters; Nancy Martin of Houston, Linda Dyess and husband Chris of Conroe; sons, Garry Sharp, Sr. and wife Cheech of Montgomery and Loyd Wert Sharp, Jr.; 15 Grandchildren, 33 Great-Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren and her beloved dog, Emmanuel.
