Loyd Wert Sharp, Jr., age 76, of Brady, Texas and formerly of Houston, Texas passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023 in Brady, Texas. Loyd was born April 16, 1947 in Houston, Texas to Loyd Wert Sharp, Sr. and Dorothy (Johnson) Wert Sharp. He grew up in Houston and graduated from High School in Houston. He worked in the oil field most of his life driving a truck. He and his family were very active in the Houston Rodeo and Livestock Show for many years. He lived in Houston most of his life. He moved to Brady in the fall of 2023.

Loyd is survived by his sons Michael Sharp of Livingston, MN, David Sharp of Marina, CA and Daniel Sharp of Brady, TX; sisters Linda Dyess of Bedias, TX and Nancy Martin of Houston, TX; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Cristi Sharp, brother Garry Sharp and sister Dorothy Gale Shastid.
