FUNERAL HELD WEDNESDAY FOR CHARLES E. BERRY, 75
Funeral services for Charles E. Berry, 75, who died Monday in a St. Joseph hospital, were held Wednesday afternoon at Whitesville, conducted by the Rev. W. C. Whitehouse, pastor of the Christian church here, and burial was in the Whitesville cemetery.
Mr. Berry was born Nov. 22, 1852, at Belleville, Ill. He was married Sept. 1, 1876, to Eliza Strope, who survives. They were the parents of four children, the following three of whom survive: Jack [sic] Berry, Rutland, Iowa; Mrs. Eva Zinn, Amsterdam, Mo., and Luther T. Berry, Bolckow, Mo.
About thirty years ago Mr. and Mrs. Berry located in Andrew county. At the time of his death the family home was 3/4 mile north of Rea. Besides the widow and three children he is survived by one brother, J. L. Berry, Mt. Zion, Ill., fourteen grandchildren, several other relatives, and a wide circle of friends.
