Mrs. Eliza Strope Berry, wife of Chas. Berry, deceased, was born January 1, 1856 at Decatur, Ill. About 30 years ago she and her husband and son moved to Missouri and settled near Ravenwood. They lived in that community about 12 years and then moved near Cawood, south of Guilford. From there she moved about four years ago to the place where she died. After having been confined to her bed for nearly two years, she died quietly at the home of her son, L. T. Berry, Saturday afternoon, May 29, 1937, at the age of 81 years, four months and 28 days.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, William, who died 16 years ago. There are left to mourn her departure one daughter, Mrs. Eva Zinn, and two sons, Zach and L. T. Berry.
When she was able, she attended the Christian church and tried to live according to the Golden Rule, letting her daily life speak her religion.

-------

It appears that there is no stone to mark her grave.
