Rites Held for Luther T. Berry
Final services were held last Friday afternoon in the Phillips Mortuary chapel for Luther Thomas Berry, 69 of near Stanberry, who was taken by death at his farm home early the preceding Wednesday morning.
The rites were conducted by the Rev. Russell Evans and burial was in the Whitesville, Mo., cemetery under the direction of the Phillips establishment.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Minnie Berry, of the home, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Berry, who had been in ill health for several months, was born near Decatur, Ill., on Mar. 29, 1890. After moving to Missouri, he and the former Miss Minnie Cawood, Bolckow, Mo., were united in marriage on Dec. 23, 1915.
After farming several years in the Bolckow community, the Berrys moved to the Stanberry area. They had lived on their present farm the past 10 years.
