Mrs. Rorem's Rites

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Tomine Rorem, 65, were held at the Rorem home and Our Saviors church, northwest of Inwood, on Monday, July 16th, with Pastor B. H. J. Habel officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, with six nephews acting as pall-bearers. They were Le Roy Hetlet and Donald, Eugene, Kenneth, Ogene, and Truman Monen.

Mrs. Rorem died at her home on July 13th, after many years of illness; she had been crippled after a fall and fractured hip injury for several months.

Anna Tomine Rorem was born on a farm northwest of Inwood. Her parents were Ole and Gurina Monen. She was baptized in Our Saviors Lutheran church and received her education in the rural school near her home. On Jun 24, 1909, she was united in marriage to Andrew K. Rorem. Eight children were born to this union; one son, Lawrence, preceded her in death.

They resided on a farm for over 20 years and when her husband died in 1932, Mrs. Rorem established her home in Inwood.

Survivors are two sons, Ole and Clarence; five daughters, Mrs. Horace Johnson, Mrs. Floyd Gisselbeck, Mrs. Harry Grotewold, Mrs. Roscoe Abbott and Mrs. Wynze Duimstra; several grand-children and one sister and several brothers.
