1830 Census, Scott Co, KY age between 30-39 -- b. between 1791-1800.

1840 Census, Coles Co, IL age between 40-49 -- b. between 1791-1800.

Grave marker states age at death in 1852 was 61 years. -- b. 1791.

1850 Census, Charleston Precinct, Coles Co, IL Dwelling 168. James Atkins, 63, farmer, value: 1000, born Ky. Margaret Atkins, 63, born Ky. Margaret E. Atkins, 20, born Ky; James R. Atkins, 15, born Ill.
1850 - 63 = 1887. This conflicts with 1830 & 1840 Censuses and grave marker.

Conclusion: 1850 Census is in error. Correct year of birth is 1791.

Married Margaret Maupin Neal in 1810 in Scott Co, KY. Moved to Coles Co, IL in 1833, and is recognized as being a Coles Co Pioneer.
Died 10-Mar-1852 in Charleston Twp, Coles Co, IL. Buried in the Adkins-Woodson Cemetery, just north of his property.

They had 12 children: Charles Neal, Sarah Ann "Sally", Elizabeth "Eliza", Gowen Morris, John Miller, Nancy Hawkins, male, Lucy Hawkins, Margaret Elizabeth, Leithy Jane, inf dau, & James Robert Adkins.

I'm seeking the burial place Margaret Elizabeth (Adkins) McKenzie reported to be in Coles Co, but where? A marker for her husband exists just one row east of James & Margaret's markers & can be seen in one of the above photos.

James & Margaret are the 3g gparents of the creator of this memorial, William Harrison.
