As the story was told by Martha’s Granddaughter, Eula Ida Kissinger Brown, Robert Moore rode up to the Tennessee plantation home, Martha ran out, jumped onto the back of the horse and they eloped. Martha’s parents did not approve of Robert. They went to live in Missouri and raised 4 children.
