Sarah E. Moore was born February 11, 1863 in Tennessee to Robert E. Moore and wife, Martha Emma Kimbrough, who were married in 1858 in Lauderdale, Tennessee. Robert and Martha had two more children, Mary and James, in Tennessee before migrating to Camden County, Missouri where their last child, Ida Frances, was born in 1873.
Young Sarah E. Moore married William Adam Darrow about 1878 when she was about sixteen, probably in Camden County, Missouri. Tragically, her young husband died the following year in 1879 and was buried in Liberty North Cemetery in nearby Laclede County. Sarah moved back home to her parents' home and is found there with them in the June 1880 Auglaize, Camden, Missouri census, a widow at age 17. Just four months after that census on October 6, 1880, Sarah too died. She was buried with her husband in Liberty Cemetery.
