Mabel L. Bruner, 70, of Gladwin, died Wednesday, April 11, 2001 at home. She was a lifetime resident of Gladwin County. Born March 21, 1931 in Gladwin, she was the daughter of Daniel and Mary Louise (Beaubein) Whitman. Mabel married Daniel L. Bruner, April 11, 1947 in Beaverton. She was a homemaker.

Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Neil Sr. and wife Bulah of Gladwin; three daughters, Bonnie and husband Dwain Grant, Louise Wilderdyke and soul mate David Stachowiak, and Mary Bruner and soul mate, Joe Burrill, all of Beaverton; two brothers, Charles Whitman of Sanford, and Forrest Whitman of Freeland; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin with Rev. Duane Koontz officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery in Gladwin. Memorial contributions may be made to MidMichigan Hospice.
